About
Joseph is 2 1/2 years old. He loves Thomas the Tank Engine, dump trucks, and cooking eggs with his Dad. He is bright, creative, loving, and very energetic. For me, the best thing about raising Joseph is how much I laugh now that he is in my life.
Joseph's Second Birthday
But let’s face it: Being a parent is rough! And from the very beginning, I was totally unprepared for what was coming. I refused to believe that life as I once knew it was officially over. I often wonder how many hours my mom and sister spent talking about me becoming a mom. They probably did more laughing than worrying. They would probably just say that I was being stubborn. But I was in denial, really.
Once I became a mom, I finally realized I needed help so I turned to any resource I could find. I first started off reading every parenting book I could get my hands on. But I never found the books all that helpful. And I know plenty of other moms who feel the same way.
Several parents have shared their tips and advice with me, and along the way, I’ve even developed a few tricks of my own. And that’s one of the reasons I started this blog. The best advice I’ve ever received about raising Joseph came from other parents. So I wanted to create a place for all of us to share these tips, ideas, rants (I’ll have plenty of those), and wisdom — and hopefully a few laughs along the way, too.
Another reason I developed this website is for a school project at George Washington University, so please forgive me while I tinker around with themes and new content. It’s all in the name of learning! Please leave comments and suggestions about how I can improve the site. Your feedback would be greatly appreciated.
